Format: original

τῷ ἐπὶ φρεσὶ θῆκε: so 8.218, Od. 11.146 ἔπος ἐρέω καὶ ἐπὶ φρεσὶ θήσω, etc. A rather commoner phrase is ἐνὶ φρεσὶ (θυμῷ, στήθεσσι), which shows that ἐπὶ φρεσί is to be taken in a locative sense.
